Mr. Danish Iqbal is a distinguished leader and pioneer in Pakistan’s renewable energy sector, serving as Chairman of Gul Ahmed Energy Group and Metro Power Companies. A graduate of the AmericanUniversity of Sharjah, UAE, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Management & Marketing), he began his career as Director at Gul Ahmed Textile Mills. With over two decades of
experience, Mr. Iqbal has played a pivotal role in driving Pakistan’s transition toward clean and sustainable energy solutions.

Under his visionary leadership, the Group has successfully developed four landmark wind power projects with a combined capacity of 210 MW, making a significant contribution to the nation’s renewable energy portfolio. As the founder of the Pakistan Wind Energy Association, Mr. Iqbal has unified key industry stakeholders under a national framework, fostering collaboration, innovation, and
policy advancement. His continued commitment to sustainability and energy security is shaping a greener and more resilient future for Pakistan.
